TRANSPORTATION
- By Air
Split Airport (SPU) is located about 20 km west of the city. It offers numerous international and domestic flights, especially during spring and summer. From the airport, you can reach Split by airport shuttle bus, local bus, taxi, or ride-share services.
- By Ferry
Split has Croatia’s largest passenger port with regular ferry lines connecting it to Ancona (Italy) and many Croatian islands.
Ferries arrive directly at the city center, next to the main bus and train stations.
- By Bus
Split is connected to all major Croatian cities and many European destinations by frequent long-distance buses. Most buses arrive at the Split Main Bus Station, located near the ferry port and city center.
- By Train
Direct train connections to Split are available from Zagreb and several inland cities.
The train station is located beside the bus station and ferry terminal.
- By Car
Split can be reached via the A1 motorway, which connects the city with Zagreb and the rest of the European road network. Approximate driving times from major European capitals are: Zagreb (Croatia): ~4 hours, Ljubljana (Slovenia): ~5 hours, Vienna (Austria): ~7.5–8 hours, Budapest (Hungary): ~7–7.5 hours, Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina): ~4.5–5 hours, Belgrade (Serbia): ~7.5–8 hours, Munich (Germany): ~9–10 hours, Bratislava (Slovakia): ~8 hours, Prague (Czech Republic): ~10-11 hours.
How to Reach the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology from Split Airport (SPU)Upon exiting the airport terminal, follow the signs to the Airport Shuttle Bus operated by Pleso Prijevoz. The shuttle departs regularly after each arriving flight and takes approximately 30 minutes to reach Split Main Bus Station (Autobusni kolodvor), located next to the ferry port.
From the bus station, you can reach the Faculty in two ways:

- By local bus: Walk to the nearby local bus stop PAZAR 1 and take bus line 11 or 18 toward the campus area. Exit at the stop MATICE HRVATSKE – KAMPUS 1 which is within short walking distance of the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology.
- By taxi or ride-share: Taxis are available directly at the bus station. The ride to the Faculty takes 5–10 minutes.

Take Bus Line 37 from the bus stop located on the main road in front of the airport (“Split – Airport – Trogir” direction). After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the DOMOVINSKOG RATA – SUKOIŠAN 2 station in Split. Transfer to a local city bus heading toward the campus area (Bus Lines 33/36 – enter at DOMOVINSKOG RATA – SUKOIŠAN 2 station, exit at VUKOVARSKA – PUJANKE station; Bus Line 17 – enter at SLOBODNA DALMACIJA station, exit MTICE HRVATSKE – KAMPUS 1 station) or walk approximately 25 minutes to the Faculty.

- By Taxi or Ride-Share (Fastest & Most Convenient)
Taxis are available directly in front of the airport. The drive to the Faculty takes 25–30 minutes, depending on traffic. Popular ride-sharing apps (e.g. Bolt, Uber) operate in Split and may offer lower fares.
